About

To follow a passion with utmost dedication and use it to spread awareness is an opportunity very few get. One such occasion is the ‘Window to the Wild’, a wildlife photography competition and exhibition, which intend to create a bridge linking the professionals with the general public. We provide a platform to showcase ones imagination of nature through their eyes and listen to their stories through the images.

Wild Side Of Me is organizing this Photography Competition and Exhibition to celebrate Wildlife Week. The exhibition theme is focused on the subject we are deeply passionate about- “Wildlife & Nature Conservation”. Selected entries from the competition will be exhibited at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, Bangalore from October 3rd-6th 2014.

The Main objective of the event is to spread awareness about conservation through photography and hence had chosen 3 categories for participants to submit the entries. The categories are,

- Conservation Call
- Glamour In Wildlife
- Creativity In Nature

Though main highlight of the exhibition is to spread the Conservation Message, we would like to contribute our bit to support conservation activities. Hence the proceeds from the event will be used for the below activities.

• Recognize and honour three Anti Poaching staff from Bandipur, Nagarahole and Biligiri Rangana Betta National Parks for their exceptional services.

• In-situ conservation by adopting an animal for a year at Sri. Chamrajendra Zoological Gardens, Mysore

• A one-day conservation workshop for 10 Anganawadi Schools on the periphery of the above mentioned national parks.

More than 300 Happy travellers

"Stayed at the amazing Jungle Wood Resort in Coorg, literally in the middle of a Jungle. The house is a 200 year old house managed by a family who has been running this for years. The silence, peace and 'no phone service' makes you feel so connected to the nature. Highly recommended if you just wanna run away! Huge shoutout to @townista. This was my first #TownistaTrip. Brilliantly arranged and such a hassle free experience. Much recommended if you are planning your next trip."
