The Pulse Polio Immunization is done in the months of January and February every year. In January 2014, the dates given are 18th (Sunday) to 21st (Wednesday).
25 volunteers required in Koramangala to administer the polio drops.
The first day is when Booths are set-up and people come to the booths to get polio drops administered for children below the age of 5 years. On the rest of the days, volunteers and health workers do door-to-door visits in the areas allotted to them to ensure that no child is left out.
First day timings will be from 7 am to 5pm approximately, and on other days it might start around 9 am and end once you cover all houses. More volunteers are needed on weekdays, so please help spread the message.
Anyone who is willing can volunteer. You will be trained on how to administer the drops, document the same and work with the government health workers. The drive will go on for 4 days and each PHC requires around 25 volunteers to cover all the areas. At present, we have received a request from Koramangala health centre.
If you're willing to join, please fill http://bit.ly/vfcpolio
Volunteering for the Pulse Polio Drive is a wonderful opportunity to work with the government, to see communities up close and to be a part of meaningful work that affects millions of lives.

"Stayed at the amazing Jungle Wood Resort in Coorg, literally in the middle of a Jungle. The house is a 200 year old house managed by a family who has been running this for years. The silence, peace and 'no phone service' makes you feel so connected to the nature. Highly recommended if you just wanna run away! Huge shoutout to @townista. This was my first #TownistaTrip. Brilliantly arranged and such a hassle free experience. Much recommended if you are planning your next trip."
