Vidhan Soudha's claim to fame is being the largest Secretariat in India which also houses the State Legislature. The structure is a charming combination of the neo-Dravidian, British, Indo-Islamic as well as contemporary architectural styles, which, is a symbol of secularism that defines India. The building was constructed by master craftsmen under the supervision of the then Chief Engineer, late B.R. Manickam of the Public Works Department.
