Everyday in the media we find various issues talked about – from water shortage and stinking land fills to climate change and polluted air and water. We also find several groups, NGOs and schools rising up to the challenge to be involved in several green activities. It is not that grassroots activities are enough – but when these create enough of a buzz, we may find that gradually policy changes may happen too. Most changes have a history of this kind of process, be it putting an end to Sati in India, abolishing Apartheid in Africa or ending slavery in the Americas.
This evening (4:30 - 6:00 pm) the Bhoomi College Team – both facilitators and students will be part of an interactive session to explore ‘green’ potentials and possibilities. Whether you are a professional, housewife, student or a regular job-holder, there is always something you can take part in, because green activities include food, water, garbage, education, communication and more – all the stuff of our everyday lives.
