About

A paradise for bird watchers, Sultanpur’s bird sanctuary boasts of over 250 species of birds- both resident as well as migratory. The different species of birds that are found just 40 kms away from Delhi are the Indian Cormorant, Siberian Crane, Spotbill, Greater Flamingo etc. Although best known for its exotic species of birds, Sultanpur also offers quite a variety when it comes to wildlife which includes the likes of Nilgai, Blackbuck etc. A major centre for salt production till the late 19th century, Sultanpur seldom fails to rise to the expectations of the most avid birdwatchers. An hour drive from Delhi, this place is the perfect sunday getaway for you and your family. FYI, in case you are a newbie to the art of birdwatching, don’t forget to carry a pair of binoculars!
