Halasuru's Someshwara Temple is dedicated to the deity Someshwara, popularly known as Lord Shiva. It is the oldest temple in the city and dates back to the 17th century. There's a large number of elaborately carved pillars inside the temple premises. It is claimed that the pillars produce the sounds of musical instruments when tapped. You can also take a look at the ancient scriptures that decorate the walls. Some of the most striking features of this temple include the Rajagopuram (or temple tower) and the Dhwajastambha, which is a huge pillar placed right in front of the temple. The most attractive ritual of this temple is where Lord Vishnu, Brahma, and Shiva are worshiped together.

"Stayed at the amazing Jungle Wood Resort in Coorg, literally in the middle of a Jungle. The house is a 200 year old house managed by a family who has been running this for years. The silence, peace and 'no phone service' makes you feel so connected to the nature. Highly recommended if you just wanna run away! Huge shoutout to @townista. This was my first #TownistaTrip. Brilliantly arranged and such a hassle free experience. Much recommended if you are planning your next trip."
