aneuvering and navigating a boat packed with rafters along the sapphire-blue waters of the Sharavati river is an adventure of a lifetime. Originating from Ambutheertha, the 128 kilometre-long river, Sharavati plummets 253 mts to form the third highest waterfall in the country, the gorgeous and enticing Jog Falls. 420 kms away from Bengaluru, the river is girded with acres of lush green moist deciduous and semi-evergreen forests and sailing down the Sharavati may mean encountering the rare and endangered Lion-tailed Macaque or some of the most exotic birds like the Great Hornbill or the Yellow-Browed Bulbul which are endemic in this region. Offering long stretches of excitement and joy, there’s nothing more exhilarating than racing down the astounding archipelago with your friends and family.More Info >>
"Stayed at the amazing Jungle Wood Resort in Coorg, literally in the middle of a Jungle. The house is a 200 year old house managed by a family who has been running this for years. The silence, peace and 'no phone service' makes you feel so connected to the nature. Highly recommended if you just wanna run away! Huge shoutout to @townista. This was my first #TownistaTrip. Brilliantly arranged and such a hassle free experience. Much recommended if you are planning your next trip."
