Murthal, also known as the Parantha Paradise, is a small village in the Sonepat District of Haryana and less than 50 Km away from Delhi. The ubiquitous Paranthas actually give a tiny non-descript town it's prominence. Home to the famous Sukhdev Dhaba and Haveli, people travel especially to this village to grab a scrumptious bite. You can also experience a flavour of village life by strolling the fields and farms, sleeping under tree shade and if you feel adventurous you may even shower with a tube well!
Even the drive across the wide Grand Trunk Road is in itself refreshing with the cool wind caressing you. There are some temples of Lord Shiva, the Nage baba ki prachin samadhi and dhoona (Old Memorial of the Snake God) and 'Kali Baba Samadhi'. all around the village. But what the village is mainly known for is the large number of food joints or dhabas along the road on the highway.
