This is a special evening, where Maya Kamaty will perform at BFlat again after a year. The evening will feature a performance of Maloya, contemporary folk and soul music, sung in the Creole and (occasionally) French languages. The music of the Reunion islands, while full of traditional elements is also inherently bluesy and jazzy. The band plays traditional instruments (kayamb and rouler) that provide enriched acoustics. The lyrics swing from imagination to reflection, supported by a magical and colorful language, and the voice carries on a breeze - images of the mixed blues of Maloya between childhood dreams and the passions of a country, far gone but long remembered.
"Stayed at the amazing Jungle Wood Resort in Coorg, literally in the middle of a Jungle. The house is a 200 year old house managed by a family who has been running this for years. The silence, peace and 'no phone service' makes you feel so connected to the nature. Highly recommended if you just wanna run away! Huge shoutout to @townista. This was my first #TownistaTrip. Brilliantly arranged and such a hassle free experience. Much recommended if you are planning your next trip."
"It really saved me time and effort. Had amazing time with my friends. Much needed break."
