Bangalore, India, Kodihalli
Sat, Aug 22 to Sun, Aug 23
This two-day learning program will focus on introducing you to Rock Climbing as an enjoyable outdoors endeavor. The focus during the two days will be on the outline mentioned below. We will plan to take this outdoors during both the days, weather permitting (details of the location will be informed to those who sign up and confirm).
- Basics of climbing, skills, gear, usage and safety
- Basic knots used in climbing
- Communication during climbing
- Belaying skills
- Broad overview of anchors
The program is limited to ten people to ensure maximum learning and proper safety.
There's no upper age limit. If you are physically fit enough to undergo the physical and mental rigors of the two days, sign up. The lower age limit is restricted by our ability to provide harnesses and shoes for this workshop. If you have your own harness and shoes, we are happy to accommodate. Provided all other conditions are met.
The cost of this two day program is Rs.1500. If you are able to commit for both the days, only then should you sign up. Please call Bhaskar Bhat to confirm.
This is not a commercial enterprise!
A bunch of experienced climbers will be volunteering their time and resources to make this happen. Funds generated from this event go back into climbing infrastructure around Bangalore.
The event location is Bangalore specific. Both the days will be in an outdoor location, the information of which will be conveyed to you, once you sign up. Also, there will be pre-work that is required for this program, which will be sent to you by email.
