About

The imposing Georgian edifices, wrought iron railings and uncharacteristically wide streets define the serene and well-planned Horniman Circle. The first attempt at urban planning in Mumbai, the structure was inspired by London’s Park Crescent and Bath’s Royal Crescent. The lush green gardens have an art deco iron pipes design at the centre. Just opposite to the circle stands the Asiatic Library, also known as the ‘Town Hall’. Taking influences from Roman and Greek architecture, the heritage structure has a porch with 8 Doric columns.
What To Look Out For: Visit the St. Thomas Cathedral - the first Anglican church in Mumbai for the exquisite statues and detailed plaques

More than 300 Happy travellers

"Stayed at the amazing Jungle Wood Resort in Coorg, literally in the middle of a Jungle. The house is a 200 year old house managed by a family who has been running this for years. The silence, peace and 'no phone service' makes you feel so connected to the nature. Highly recommended if you just wanna run away! Huge shoutout to @townista. This was my first #TownistaTrip. Brilliantly arranged and such a hassle free experience. Much recommended if you are planning your next trip."
