Jaladhama is on the western side of the backwaters of Madavamanthri Dam, at Mudukuthore, 4 Km from Talakadu and you are ferried to the resort by motorboat. Talakadu is on the banks for Kapila-Cauvery River. This place has a historical importance dating back to 247 A.D., as it was ruled by Harshavardhana, Purusha, Rashtra Kootas, Vishnuvardhana and vijayanagar kings. The famous Somanatheshwara temple and Shivanasamudra falls are just 20 km away from the resort. Mysore, K.R.S Dam, Ranganatittu Bird Sanctuary, Srirangapatna are not more than 50 km a way from here.
