"Exploring Mental Health through Creativity" aims at changing people's mindsets over ideas of mental health and mental illness by taking them on a personal journey through experiential processes.
The event covers the following areas - exploring story telling and art, focusing on body movement and understanding self-constructions followed by identifying lost creativity and implementing grounding techniques.
Our aim: Most people join a workshop coming in as helpers to help someone else. In our events all of that gets dropped and the focus is on 'I' 'we' 'us' as this is where our egos live. Before we can help anyone we need to know how we can help ourselves, remove our self-constructions and be open to another's perspective of life. By simple understanding this, we open ourselves to knowing that different people can have different experiences that otherwise get called 'mental illness' and how we can work towards creating safe spaces.
