Right from the foothill to the top, tiny shops and stalls dot the way to the Elephanta Caves. One can find quirky t-shirts with images of Lord Shiva and Ganesha in most of these shops.
The best buys from these shops would definitely be the marble artifacts and the paintings. Beauty in itself, these paintings serve as great souvenirs to take back home. Stone carved boxes and banyan leaf skeleton artwork truly depict grace and beauty of India. The wooden and carved jewellery for women here are popular, their prices being pocket friendly as well. Books and post cards with breath taking images of the caves are a huge hit as well!
"Stayed at the amazing Jungle Wood Resort in Coorg, literally in the middle of a Jungle. The house is a 200 year old house managed by a family who has been running this for years. The silence, peace and 'no phone service' makes you feel so connected to the nature. Highly recommended if you just wanna run away! Huge shoutout to @townista. This was my first #TownistaTrip. Brilliantly arranged and such a hassle free experience. Much recommended if you are planning your next trip."
