A German couple from Bavaria, an Indian couple from Tamil Nadu. Around the same age, married for about 30 years, yet their worlds are poles apart in terms of culture, language and tradition. Till their children meet, while studying film in Munich, Germany, and fall in love, bringing them together, at first unwilling and unwitting, in what starts out as an Indo-German culture clash.
Amma & Appa by Franziska Schönenberger and Jayakrishnan Subramanian is a humorous and sensitive exploration of the biographies and love stories of two (actually three) couples, who are so dramatically different, but only at first glance.

"Stayed at the amazing Jungle Wood Resort in Coorg, literally in the middle of a Jungle. The house is a 200 year old house managed by a family who has been running this for years. The silence, peace and 'no phone service' makes you feel so connected to the nature. Highly recommended if you just wanna run away! Huge shoutout to @townista. This was my first #TownistaTrip. Brilliantly arranged and such a hassle free experience. Much recommended if you are planning your next trip."
"It really saved me time and effort. Had amazing time with my friends. Much needed break."
