About

To all (non-)professional DJs and fans of electronic music out there: You need any tips on music production or sampling? DJ Daso and DJ Pawas, two Indian-German experts on electronic dancefloor music, will give a workshop to share their years of music experience as well as interesting facts about the Intelligent Dance Music (IDM) scene in Germany.
And don't miss their performance at The Warehouse afterwards!

Workshop Programme:

1. History of German Electronic Music - from Kraftwerk to Paul Kalkbrenner
2. History of German Nightlife / Club Scene - from Dorian Grey in FFM to 24H Berlin Party People
3. Playing Live with Ableton and Controllers (Demonstration): Live vs. DJ // Making Your First Live Set
4. Evolution of DJing
5. Digital vs. Vinyl
6. Electronic Music in India
7. Collaborations

Born in Poona, India, DJ Daso moved to Cologne, epicenter of electric music, when he was 24 years old. With his roof-hitting debuts “Daybreak” and “Meine”, he quickly established himself in the international dance-music-scene. Shortly after in Berlin, DJ Daso continued his successful collaborations with various cutting-edge producers such as Oliver Koletzki’s label Stil vor Talent. However, Daso reveals his true talent live at the club: his set is an ecstatic journey from house over rave up to stony techno. Don’t miss this Dandy’s performance – let’s sweat classy style!

In the electronica circuit, DJ and producer Pawas Gupta, needs no introduction. Pawas works in that space where melodies, musicianship and atmospheric sounds fuse to create intelligent house. His music resonates his journey back from his early days as a DJ in India to turning independent producer in Germany. From his classical roots in tabla and percussion to his deep, Detroit influence in deeper house, techno and minimal, Pawas has carved his niche.

More than 300 Happy travellers

"Stayed at the amazing Jungle Wood Resort in Coorg, literally in the middle of a Jungle. The house is a 200 year old house managed by a family who has been running this for years. The silence, peace and 'no phone service' makes you feel so connected to the nature. Highly recommended if you just wanna run away! Huge shoutout to @townista. This was my first #TownistaTrip. Brilliantly arranged and such a hassle free experience. Much recommended if you are planning your next trip."
