The new Western Railway Heritage Gallery is the Indian Railways' first attempt at making its rich past accessible to the public. This attempt is worth appreciation as a lot of information can easily be derived by looking at those century-old models of train compartments, brass bells and whistles, early rail maps, lithographs depicting newly-built stations and a lot of pressure gauges. It displays various signaling equipment, communication equipment, Mangalore tiles of 1865 etc. used in early days of railways. The western railway heritage gallery is a reflection of the development of “India on wheels.”

"Stayed at the amazing Jungle Wood Resort in Coorg, literally in the middle of a Jungle. The house is a 200 year old house managed by a family who has been running this for years. The silence, peace and 'no phone service' makes you feel so connected to the nature. Highly recommended if you just wanna run away! Huge shoutout to @townista. This was my first #TownistaTrip. Brilliantly arranged and such a hassle free experience. Much recommended if you are planning your next trip."
