The Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan, in association with Sandbox Collective, invited theatre people to explore the large database of German language plays that have been translated and are available on its website. These playwrights, actors and directors will share their experiences with the City by staging the selected works in dramatised readings, with the objective of exposing theatre enthusiasts to different kinds of scripts and perspectives.
About the Play:
Electronic City follows Tom and Joy, a couple that become symbols for the contemporary where we are caught up in busyness and automation without stopping to truly enjoy or experience anything around us. It also points to our flaws of equating success and happiness with money and material gains

Aruna Ganesh Ram is a performance director, deviser, designer and founder of Visual Respiration. She holds a Masters in Advanced Theatre Practice from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, London, United Kingdom. She is also a graduate in Communication and Design.
