Located about 100 metres south of Humayun Tomb, Abdul Rahim Khan-I-Khanan Tomb is situated in Nizamuddin East and was built in 1598. In 1754, the tomb was stripped of its marble and sandstones to use for the construction of Safdarjung’s tomb. However, the tomb still looks impressive with the traces of marble and sandstone layouts and the floral motifs. There are several small ornamental tanks adorning the plinth. The interiors are decorated with star-shaped and floral designed plaster works.
What To Look Out For: The Humayun’s Tomb and the Nizamuddin Dargah lie in the vicinity of the monument
"Stayed at the amazing Jungle Wood Resort in Coorg, literally in the middle of a Jungle. The house is a 200 year old house managed by a family who has been running this for years. The silence, peace and 'no phone service' makes you feel so connected to the nature. Highly recommended if you just wanna run away! Huge shoutout to @townista. This was my first #TownistaTrip. Brilliantly arranged and such a hassle free experience. Much recommended if you are planning your next trip."
